That’s really nice! I do hope people won’t complain about the extra finger on the left.
There’s always someone who feels the need to be offended over AI images. I mean, I can understand where they’re coming from, but a lighthearted meme is probably the wrong place to start an argument.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to rant. I really like your image :)
Edit: I saw your post on 196, so nice that people liked it that much!
I can respect the kind of arrogance and pettiness that sees a technology that can generate literally ANYTHING you’d like to see within seconds, like actual magic and then complains about extra fingers lmao
True, it would be a very petty person if the complaint was just about an extra finger :)
I guess I should explain myself a little better. There’s a group of people who like to hate on anything that’s AI generated. They usually come with arguments like, “The model is trained on stolen data” or “It’s putting real artists out of business.” Also any claim that you made this picture or this picture is yours will put them in a very foul mood.
The thing is, I can understand their concerns and dislike. The current system of training images and licensing should be regulated to make sure the original artists get a fair share.
It’s just that the hate is often directed at the wrong people. Most of us do this for fun because we like to make funny pictures, because we just aren’t that good at drawing ourselves, because we have an interest in the technology, or any other number of harmless reasons. It always pains me a little when this discussion pops up again, it devalues the efforts the poster put in their work. It might not be real art (whatever that is) but that image still represents something they were proud enough of to share it with others. Personally I love it when someone feels proud enough of their work to want to share it with others, no matter how it got created. I hate it if someone gets discouraged because of those kinds of criticisms.
I meant with my original post that I hope people will appreciate the image for what it is, and not hate on it because it’s AI generated. I hardly ever share outside of this community for this very reason. I just don’t want to get dragged into another discussion.
As someone who’s just getting started with Stable Diffusion: Seems like the type of thing that can be fixed with inpainting! I just learned how to use that feature last night 😁
When I’m back at my PC I’ll see if I can fix it with the SD Web UI. Will be a good learning experience 👍
Might end up fooling around with img2img and boatloads of LoRAs for hours on end though… Like usual hehehe. It’s so addicting!
That’s great, would love to see what you can come up with!
Inpainting didn’t work out so well since I don’t seem to have a model that matches the style of the original image. They all ended up looking strange (though with the correct number of fingers 👍)
So instead I ran it through img2img and generated some new ones using various models! I present to you, “I already took all the pills”:
“Please take your medication, Grandma”
“If you think you’re not taking your medication you’re mistaken”
I’m still new to this so I’m sure someone with more experience would be able to produce better results.
It’s a good first attempt and I’m sure you’ll get better with practice.
Why is the image stretched wide though?
The image is stretched because I forgot to set the image size correctly 🤷
Oh well, live and learn :)
Let’s just say she’s polydactyl!
She’s certainly poly-something
Thanks for the feedback, and Glad so many people love it. nobody really complained about the extra fingers.
Great, I’m happy for you!
Sorry about being such a worrywart :)
