German automaker Mercedes-Benz is currently testing a prototype with a new type of solid-state battery that is expected to deliver a range of over 1,000 kilometers. The tests are taking place under real-world conditions on UK roads and marks an important step in the development of more efficient electric vehicles.

      I think it’s only a matter of time. Figuring out Lithium batteries produced a similar efficiency gain vs lead acid.

      I’m not saying the time is right now, fingers crossed though. And it would finally kill the hydrogen fuel nonsense.
