minus-squarecaptainlezbian@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up24arrow-down1·1 year agoIt’s a vocalization of gratitude. It’s pointless except for the fact that you’re a social animal and saying things influences how you think
minus-squaremagnetosphere@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up4arrow-down5·1 year agoWell, yeah. That’s what the first sentence of my comment was about.
minus-squarehswolf@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down2·1 year agohow would you be appreciative of an inanimate object?
minus-squaremagnetosphere@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up3·1 year agoJust by being glad you have it/glad it exists.
minus-squarehswolf@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 year agoand why expressing It verbally would be a weird thing, everyone does things a little bit differently don’t you agree?
minus-squaremagnetosphere@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 year agoI did not say “weird”. I said “seems pointless”. I was careful to avoid judgmental or insulting language. My phrasing suggested that the issue might be ignorance on my part, not because someone else was being “weird”. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t put words in my mouth.
