WASHINGTON—Saying civilian casualties were the “price of waging a war” and that so far the price had not been high enough, President Biden spoke to reporters Thursday about the conflict in Gaza and expressed doubts that enough Palestinians had died. “I have no confidence that the death toll provided by the Hamas-run…
Buuut… how far is this from what he actually said? I’m sure it’s pretty close.
What did he say?
Ok, fine, after a quick look at news, these are the two main things said.
In regard to the 7000+ dead reported by the hamas run health department:
Also:
He’s still calling it a war, I see. What an odd way to describe the indiscriminate bombing of innocent men women and children.
One side has officially declared war so fair enough in my opinion.
Hamas isnt really what I’d consider a military force capable of modern warfare, pretty guerrilla and terrorist style. Israel however has declared war against everything above-ground and turned it to rubble.
Well, I don’t really believe anyone’s numbers. BOTH sides of the Gazrael coin are fundi assholes, and will say anything to get international support (good luck).
As far as waging war. I mean, I know it’s a lot more complicated than “religion” but it’s basically a religious war… and I just have no sympathy for that. People die when you fight. Don’t fucking fight.
Is how I read this statement. I am pretty certain he hasn’t taken this stance on Ukrainian innocents being killed…
I dont care. Trump was bad, but Biden is also bad.
I voted for Biden because I got swept up in “lesser evil” rhetoric.
I wish I didn’t cast a vote, and next time I won’t.
It simply does not matter.
The Party is going to do what what The Party does.
Thanks for helping end democracy, women’s rights, LGBT+ rights, etc. in the US.
The fascism that is consuming both sides of The Party is already doing that.
I am simply choosing not to be part of it.
Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.
Hint: if you post taxes, you’re part of it.
When a candidate worth voting for presents themselves, I will vote for them.
Bernie, AOC, and Katie Porter aren’t going to be on the presidential ballot, so I won’t be casting a presidential vote.
