I meant that militaries are puny, most battles even during major conflicts are waged with shockingly small fleets and armies (that’s because obligatory reminder that sci-fi writers have no sense of scale, any major polity like Republic would consist of hundreds of thousands inhabited worlds and general population of galaxy should be much higher considering how long civiliation exists there). This is also conflicting with political state of the galaxy, because galaxy full of reactionary regimes would make everyone by armed to the teeth at the state level.
