I’ve got it working (Linux Mint laptop to android phone), but I can’t seem to delete SMS messages on the laptop side, even if they’re deleted on the phone side. Am I missing something?

I can answer the title, but not the body of your post. I do use KDE connect, but only use it for file transfer and nothing else. I have a folder of music tracks on my laptop that I sync to a folder on my phone using KDE connect and grsync.

I recommend asking this question on !kde@lemmy.ml

I use syncthing for synchronizing photos and music between phone and my computers.

The feature I probably use most ist sharing links from my phone to my laptop to continue reading web pages or researching something on a bigger screen.

I have suspenders and a belt for sharing links: Firefox has “send tab to device” for anything you’re signed into … wait a few seconds, continue reading; Signal’s Note to Self conversation is my other method, which has the added benefit of being a secure cross-device de facto life clipboard.

Had me in the first half. I do use it (and love it) but I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your question. Posting to try and help boost. Good luck
