That building in the background is the Sankoré Madrasa. It was originally a mosque, built about 600-700 years ago, and it has to be repaired every year after the rainy season dissolves some of the mud bricks. Those posts on the pyramid bit are basically scaffolding for people to climb up for the repairs
they also look cool as hell and probably provide structural integrity
The cat ears are a nice touch too. Uwu!
At first glance I pictured a silhouette of Pusheen.
