Really amazing work. This post led me to the Wikipedia page for the Baffin Island and I will share some interesting facts I learned:

    • Baffin Island is the 5th largest island in the world

    • About 3/4 of its population is indigenous

    • It has a population is about 13,000 which is over half of the Arctic Archipelago as a whole

    • If it were a country, it would tie with Greenland for the lowest population density at .03/km².

    • Unrelated: There’s a small island in Ireland called Boffin Island in English with a population under 200. The Gaelic name, Inishbofin, means “Island of the White Cow”

    God I love Wikipedia
