I don’t want anyone to have access to nuclear weapons, since you asked.

But the reality is that some countries, including Israel and the United States, already have them. These two countries are currently engaged in military and terroristic activity in multiple international venues. So if that’s the rules that the big boys are playing with, and then someone else comes along and considers whether they might want to join the party too, your question is I think irresponsible. What you should have been asking is, what is likely to keep the Iranian people safer, nukes or no nukes?

In Palestine and Israel and Iran, it’s fine to look at the governments and say how bad they are, and you may well be right, or maybe not, I don’t know. But we can look at the people whose lives are being destroyed or permanently ended and wish that those numbers went down. If the administrations are full of evil jerks and they stay in power but the death count drops, that’s still a good thing.

  • They’re lying. They weren’t tricked. Trump openly and repeatedly showed how he felt about immigrants of all kinds. Everyone knew it, everyone knows it, everyone will always know it.

What actually happened is that these people decided to focus on other things. They told themselves a story about how bad the Democrats are, perhaps, which isn’t that hard because there are so many dirty politicians in Washington.

Also, even immigrants can be racist. It’s easy enough for someone to think that the other group of “bad” minorities will be targeted, not their own, because they too want someone to spit on. The same thing is true for many poor white MAGA voters too, right? Trump’s policies are devastating for rural America, but if you’d rather have hate than healthcare, you’re getting what you voted for.

The article is also full of bullshit and it gets basic history wrong. The agreement was never made, but to the extent it exists anyway, it was never supposed to be about a monopoly that’s destroying shit. Once upon a time, not even very long ago, there were competing search engines.

I know tech writers want to write stories that sound fancy, but if they don’t know the facts and the history then they need to find someone to proofread their work more carefully.
