      They didn’t need your donations before, because they were stuffed to the gills with Google/Yahoo money, and they don’t need them now, because they’ve chosen to become an ad company[1][2].

      i need to find a new daily driver too and it makes me sad since none of the other browser projects i’ve tried seem up to par so far.

    A few weeks ago I was prompted to fill out a survey asking such questions as “why do you use mozilla programs such as firefox?” and "what do you think is the most important work done by mozilla?’

    Then a few days ago I saw this blog post about how much effort they’re putting into their new advocacy branding. It rings very hollow. The corporate recuperation of net-neutrality and adjacent digital activism is in full effect.

    Borrman told TechCrunch that “advocacy is still a central tenet of Mozilla Foundation’s work and will be embedded in all the other functional areas,” without providing specifics.
