inb4 the trolling

I don't use Sync but I'm glad it's an option.

Fixed "view more" comments hierarchy issues

Huh? I still have this issue with beta 29, top sort comment still fucked because of this, and also when going to inbox messages I need to view parent all the time (although I think this is a Lemmy issue).

Yes it's a Lemmy issue

Comments are basically broken in many areas (parent children relations, sorting options)

[–] kratoz29@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

Yeah, I know something odd is going on in the backend, but just to let you know, I have no issues with Voyager app regarding sorting of the comments or checking the inbox, not sure if they are using a workaround for this though.

I wanted to report Sync issue about sorting by old for both posts and comments since nothing is returned, but after checking from browser, turns out it is Lemmy issue. Checked multiple instances, same thing for all of them.

Would it be possible to include the release notes in the play store also? I do like some nice release notes before updating.

I'm here giving it a try since I was using Sync Premium for Reddit for a long time before leaving Reddit. I was initially using the Voyager (WefWef) PWA and liked it a lot but definitely giving this a solid shot since I liked the Reddit one a ton. If I end up sticking around in the Fediverse and in Sync I might drop the $20 USD to remove adds and support the devs.

As a diehard desktop user, I seldom use mobile clients other than for brief looks. However, just got back from a week long holiday where I used Sync exclusively for my morning scroll - and it was was brilliant!

My one remaining quibble is with the way that links in comments are inexplicably a couple of font sizes bigger than surrounding text. Anyone found a setting to change that?

Amazing! Thanks! (and I love the inline settings links!)

The app is shaping quite nice. Thanks for the update.

New Photo Sheet is a downgrade for me. Can't navigate to sub-folders, everything is just grouped under Camera, Screenshot, or Download albums. And forget any images stored outside those folders. Can there be an option to switch to the Document API?

[–] MakeItCount@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The fact that you don't have to give access to any folder anymore is a huge upgrade

[–] jayandp@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

Not if I want to use a photo in a folder the image picker doesn't default to.

For example, tons of apps save photos to /storage/emulated/0/Pictures/, which is a proper shared folder location on Android(any app can access it), but which doesn't appear in the new Photo Picker as an Album. The picture might show up in the general "Photos" list, but that's only useful if it was recently taken. If I'm trying to find an older photo it's near impossible.

Not to mention the pure lack of sub-folder support in the "Album" section means everything in my Downloads, Camera, and Screenshot folders is just jumbled together in those three groups, completely ignoring any organization I might have in them.

I have thousands of photos. This new image picker is almost unusable for me.

Fantastic, my first post
