My go to cocktail, I find the Averna much more interesting than a sweet vermouth, although I won’t turn down a standard Manhattan.

Michters American is an excellent whiskey, especially at its price point. Love a cocktail that’ll highlight the strength of the liquor without busying it up.

If you haven’t tried them, a more bitter vermouth like Punt E Mes, Cocchi Dopo Teatro, or Padro & Co Dorado Amarco Suave can be a best of both worlds kinda thing.

I’ve really started enjoying different amaro in place of sweet vermouth. In a Manhattan, Boulevardier, etc.

Black Manhattan. One of my favorites and surprisingly not well known.

Never heard of Mitcher’s before. Interesting aging process. How do you like it compared to typical bourbon?
